Christian teachings according to the word of God.Receive updates and notifications of new publications of Biblical studies books, commentaries, testimonies, prophetic and doctrinal teachings among other literatures of wisdom for the spiritual enrichment and human knowledge. The studies we present deal with the operation of that priesthood, specifically entrusted to the sons of Aaron. We propose to consider how they did it and how the various details of their offerings pointed forward to the central point of all history and all sacrifice, the work of Christ on the cross. All the Scriptures bear witness to Him; John 5.39. We will also note that the offerings provide instruction for the conduct and service of the believer today. This study then demands that we realize what the various offerings meant to the Israelites themselves. What was your understanding of these instructions from God? What did they express by their offerings? What did God want to teach you?Offerings are a parable for our teaching, but before we learn their lesson we have to fully understand the parable itself. We have to know its literal meaning before appreciating its spiritual teaching. If we grasp something of the needs of that people served by the various Levitical offerings, to some extent we will realize the greatness of the sacrifice of Christ Himself for our good. His sacrifice took the place of all those offerings, and he achieved what all the blood that ran on the altars of that town has never been able to do. He removed sin through himself; Hebrews 9.26.Let us assume our position next to the Israelite of 1490 BC, without being influenced by what the New Testament would teach later. God established these offerings as a way of drawing near to Him. They did not make the worshiper perfect, but they provided a basis for atonement. In other words, they allowed one to continue with God. Its variety made the Israelite realize how faulty it was and how far it separated him from God.https://amzn.to/2Xdtq2m
